Experience Pura Vida on this guided day trip from Jaco! After a 4×4 safari vehicle ride through the rainforest, we’ll reach our private reserve, perched over 1,000 feet above the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, your guide will point out fascinating flora and fauna, with plenty of breathtaking views.

A brief 5-minute walk leads to the Jaco waterfall tour, where we’ll hike along the river, crossing trails and bridges, and exploring smaller waterfalls and natural pools. With four swimming holes to enjoy, you can swim in fresh mountain spring water or take a thrilling plunge from heights of 4 to 25 feet.

After the adventure, we’ll make the 10-minute hike back to the truck, surrounded by Costa Rica’s untouched rainforest. Don’t forget your camera—your guide will keep it safe in a dry bag!

Canyoning—also known as canyoneering—is an exciting multi-sport adventure that’s quickly gaining popularity among thrill-seekers worldwide. And it’s not just for die-hard adventurers or expert climbers anymore. With Costa Rica Waterfall Tours, you can experience true canyoning even if you’ve never worn a harness before.

Your canyoning adventure starts just 20 minutes from Jaco. After fueling up with an authentic Costa Rican meal, we’ll hop in our 4×4 safari vehicles and drive up the mountain over 1,000 feet to our private reserve. Along the way, your guide will point out fascinating flora and fauna and share incredible views of the ocean and countryside.

Once we arrive, you’ll be outfitted with the latest and safest gear from Black Diamond (USA). You’ll receive a full briefing on the proper use of the equipment before hiking for 5 minutes to the first zipline.

After two exhilarating “zips” over the river, we’ll move on to a dry training rappel to help you master the technique for waterfall rappelling in Costa Rica. A short hike downriver takes us to the next spot, where you’ll have the option to swim and cliff jump (ranging from 4 to 25 feet) before the main event.

Now it’s time to face the waterfall! On this canyoning adventure in Jaco, Costa Rica, you’ll rappel down the waterfall four times—and you’ll do it all on your own.
​
Of course, your guide will ensure you stay “safe and backed up” at all times. After a short climb, we’ll exit the canyon and hike 15 to 20 minutes back to the truck. By the end of the tour, you’ll be able to proudly say, “I’m a canyoneer!” and check this off your bucket list.

This extreme canyoning tour in Costa Rica is just 20 minutes from Jaco! After a traditional breakfast, we head up the mountain in 4x4s to our private reserve at over 1,000ft. Your guide will highlight local wildlife, plants, and stunning ocean and countryside views along the way.

We prioritize safety, equipping you with the latest Black Diamond gear, and your guide will teach you the proper use before our five-minute hike to the first zipline. Enjoy two thrilling zips over the river, then a dry rappel training session.
After a short hike, you can swim and cliff jump (4ft to 25ft) if you choose. Next, you’ll rappel four waterfalls ranging from 50ft to 85ft.

Then comes the highlight: a 155ft unassisted rappel into a pool—Costa Rica's longest! Explore natural swimming holes before a steep 30-minute hike out. The total tour lasts 5-6 hours, so be prepared for a physically challenging adventure.
